AC removal

Just wondering if there is anything special that needs to be done before removing the AC unit, pulley and hoses. I know these old units used freon, do I have to have someone remove the freon (if there is any) before I do anything?

Seal the opening with plugs to keep contaminates out. Especally if you plan on reusing it in the future.

Need to vacuum the system. Unless you know for sure theres none in it. NOT suppose to relieve the freon in the air, for the hazards. Once thats done, you're golden.
