Finally installing factory disc's on my 69 Runner, but may have a problem. After taking off the "other" disc brake knuckle and installing the factory one, I found that the bolt on the bottom of the upper ball joint seems too long. When I thread on the crown nut, the cotter pin does not hold the nut in place as it completely misses the cogs by approx. 1/4 inch.. I guess my question would be can I put a washer or two over this ball joint bolt so the cotter pin will engage the crown nut? Thanks.
