thebankerstoy 10-04-2008, 10:51 PM Hi all,
I'm looking for a couple of parts for my 66 Coronet 500. If you can help me out, please e-mail me with pictures and prices at thebankerstoy@cox.net You MUST be able to accept payment via PayPal.
Part #2607399, defroster duct nozzle, drivers side, must not be broken or repaired please. This part is the same on all 1966-67 Coronet's, Charger's, Belvedere's and Satellite's.
Part #4432BX9, floor mounted console end cap, black, must not be broken or damaged please. This part is the same on 1966 Coronet's, Belvedere's and Satellite's, and is listed in the factory parts book to also be found in Plymouth Fury's and Dodge Polara's. All I need is the black plastic end cap, not the chrome end bezel shown in the attached pictures
Thanks for your help. :)
Richard

Thank you VERY much and if your parts car is a 1966 Dodge Coronet or Plymouth Belvedere or Satellite and it has a floor mounted console, I REALLY need the rear section of the console that bolts to the front main body section of the console, especially the the fiberglass end cap!

Yep, thanks to these parts crappy plastic design, it seems like most, if not all of these defroster duct nozzles suffer the same fate. Since 1989 when I bought my Coronet, I have found ONE nos passenger side nozzle and NO drivers side. I REALLY wish that soneone would start reproducing these damn parts, as ALL 66-67 B-Body cars use the same two parts. :banghead:
Thank you VERY much for looking for me though.
By the way, would you happen to have the 66 B-Body console piece that I'm in need of?

Thank you very much for looking. If I had a dime for everyone of those 66-67 defroster duct nozzles that I've seen with broken mounting ears, I'd be a rich man. I'm going to have to try and see if I can talk one of the aftermarket companies into making these parts, as everybody who owns a 66-67 Dodge or Plymouth B-Body car NEEDS these two defroster nozzles!
I don't suppose that you, or one of your friends, would happen to have a 1966 B-Body floor console that could sell me the small rear section that bolts onto the main console body like shown above would you? I've found everything I need to restore my 66 Coronet's console except for that one rear plastic cap. :shruggy: I'm looking for black, but if you have a nice undamaged one in ANY color, I'd be interested.
Thanks again,
Richard
69 Runner 10-30-2008, 07:43 PM Can the busted ear be plastic welded back on?
MoparGod 10-30-2008, 08:21 PM Can the busted ear be plastic welded back on?
I would think so JB Weld might work!
thebankerstoy 10-30-2008, 09:04 PM Can the busted ear be plastic welded back on?
Yes they can be plastic welded back together and that's what I had to do on the drivers side nozzle that I have now. I'm trying to find an undamaged set so that if I can find an aftermarket company that would be interested in reproducing them, I could supply them with a good used set of nozzles to make the molds they would need to use to make the new parts. I would also recommend to them that the mounting tabs be made thicker, or reinforced to avoid the breakage issue on the new parts.
Like I mentioned above, every 1966-67 Coronet, Charger, Belvedere and Satellite, both a/c and non a/c equipped cars used these same parts, so if they were to be reproduced, I'm positive there would be a big demand for them.

mr.belvedere 11-02-2008, 04:51 PM some jb weld and a couple of fender washers from the home center sandwiched together have worked for me on a few occasions. there are some replacement pieces made for jeep cj's available from jc whitney that i've heard a couple of guys used with success. they may be different in appearance and require some modification, but you don't see them under the dash....
