I hope within the next couple of weeks I will have it back from paint. So I will post pics then. detmatt1 08-21-2010, 04:50 AM Welcome to the site, was that car already on the island when you found it?, very kool `72. RRGTX72 08-23-2010, 12:17 PM Yes this car has been on the island for quite a while. It was brought over several years ago by a military member. It went through 2 more owners before ending at my door. Now I think she has a home. TheSwede 08-23-2010, 02:40 PM Just give me a call when I shall come over to help you rebuilt it, I will take the next flight ;-) Honolulu sounds much better than a winter in Sweden... Good luck with the rebuilt! RRGTX72 09-01-2010, 06:36 PM Here is an update on the metal work done so far. I hope within the next couple of weeks we can be close to throwing some paint on her. Also, thanks Swede for the offer might take you up on it. Propwash 09-02-2010, 12:02 AM Outstanding! Quite a crafty guy... roadrunnerman 09-03-2010, 01:00 PM that's an amazing job on the do-it-yourself repair. RRGTX72 09-03-2010, 11:44 PM Oh no this is not a do-it-yourself. I wish I was that handy. I have a guy that was referred to me by the guy that sold me the car. So far, I am very proud of his work. He still has to grind down the welds and a little more prep work, but I couldn't be happier. Thanks everyone for the comments. roadrunnerman 09-04-2010, 07:36 AM it's still a good job.alot of other people here can get good ideas from that, keep the pics coming. RRGTX72 09-18-2010, 09:56 PM Here is where she is at as of today. 1972 Coronet 09-19-2010, 10:09 AM I LOVE it ! GB5 is one of my favourite colours ; and 1972 is my favourite year for "B" bodies . Please tell me that you're going to properly paint the motor in Chrysler Engine Blue with an orange air cleaner ... I like seeing that its dash wasn't butchered for an after market radio ; a dash that's been hacked-up for a radio is one of my pet peeves ! Beautiful work thusfar . skymynx 09-20-2010, 11:04 AM Great progress. Its really starting to come along. RRGTX72 09-20-2010, 07:35 PM 72 Coronet, my plan is going back as original as possible with it. I wasn't sure what the correct color for 72 was, but if you say Chrysler Blue with Orange Dual Snorkel then that is what it will get. Thanks everyone for the comments. She is getting closer every week. RRGTX72 10-05-2010, 07:34 PM Just got my dash and trim parts back from paint. So here is what they look like. 1badgtx 10-05-2010, 08:11 PM Nice car!!!Hopefully you,ll keep the color!!I like it!! Petty Blue 67 GTX RRGTX72 10-18-2010, 07:10 PM Fresh Paint!
