Anyone boosted the pressure range to 0-30lbs on an Aeroomotive 13212 regulator?
We use them for their 10 10 8 port sizes and just want the additional 10 lbs of upward adjustment.
(This one is for you RPM, I know you can handle it...)
After checking with Aeromotives crack (smoking) tech support and being told "you can't do that" . I measured the spring coil diameter, actual springs od and then checked with Hilborn and Weldon. 10.80 for a new spring....
The spring to boost the regulator's range is avalable under part number 2041-6 from any Weldon dealer.
I got and tested the spring. It works better, is of much higher quality spring steel, and fits tighter than the stock Aeromotive spring..
Aeromotive selles this regulator for a suggested price of 220.00, 10-10-08 ports 0-20 range. Searching I got it for NEW FROM A RETAIL DEALER for 113.00 delivered. (Aeromotive Website had mistake of listing range of 0-30)
Aeromotives' "solution" was to buy their "updated" 13110 regulator (even though it did not have the same size ports, 13110 were smaller 10 10 06) for 230.00 instead of selling the spring to convert 13212 pressure range.... AEROMOTIVE WOULD NOT EXCHANGE the REGULATOR OR SELL THE SPRING....
Aeromotive told me that THE PORT SIZE DIFFERENCE did not matter, get new step up fittings for the new regulator....:black_eye:
I will never buy or use another Aeromotive anything,
Weldon 2040 OR 2047 REGULATORS from here on, they sell parts with specs YOU need and will modify if necessary.... their fuel pumps are pretty impressive also..
