Newbie68 Satellite 10-17-2008, 12:18 PM Hello I just wanted to introduce myself. I bought a 68 Satellite convertible a year ago with out a motor or tranny and have did some work to the interior and am ready to install a little 273 and auto tranny. Judging by the pictures of that good looking Satellite 'vert "little 273 and auto tranny" must have been just a big typo and you meant to write "built 440 and 727 with a nasty converter"...:yes: That will be a fun one to have on the road! Ray 68 Satellite 10-22-2008, 04:39 PM well actually I have the parts to build a 451 wedge.but I thought I'd go with the little 273 first. The 451 should be pretty wicked ,440 source kit,Edelbrock 84cc heads,Engle cam,etc. just haven't put it together yet. This was a former drag car ,mini tubbed ,frame connectors,sump gas tank,roll bars,etc.I've removed the roll bars and only plan to drive it on the street. The other cars belong to the guy I got this from, but I do have a 70 Challenger project also but has been on the back burners for many many many years,so long I've forgotten how to put it back together :rolling: .
