email notifications

I woke up today to a dozen or more emails notifying me of every response to every thread I was in... how do I turn this off???

Is it in the CP somewhere?

It is. poke around and find it easy enuff.
I also woke up to about 60 e-mails from all the greetings I did.

OK, Under "notifications" in CP... let's hope I disabled the right thing, LOL

I reset it for everyone. My apologies.

I think I had 74 in my inbox last night

you goto "Edit Options" (on the left) then under "Messaging & Notification " you'll see "Receive Email" with a drop down menu. just click wich you want. its easy to scroll right by..

It's on the default for weekly notifications. If I change it to do not subscribe or no email notification can I still select threads individually?

You should be able to set it to no emails but still select only the threads you wish to be email about,

I set it to "no emails" and still got 26 last night

You'll need to unsubscribe from threads you dont want emails for

I think I read that when that happens you're supposed to forward them to an Administrator..:D

simply, there was an incorrect setting. Thats all. Unsubscribe from threads and it wont be a problem afterwards. (see our usercp for the threads your subscried to)

I keep getting a few and Im not subscribed to any.

I'm still getting tons of messages even though I have it set to "Do not subscribe". So I've changed it to "don't send me and damned emails" to see if that will stop it
