69clone 10-01-2010, 07:56 PM Dumb question and kinda off topic but whats it take to really get the wheels off the ground? Torque, traction, wieght and suspention? I mean you guys got really quick cars and i'm sure it's easy for you guys but say my satellite whats the easiest way? :D
poppaj 10-01-2010, 09:01 PM There are a lot of stockers with 375-400hp motors that will drag the rear bumper. A good working suspension that hooks the car up is the biggest factor. I have seen a lot of cars with big horsepower that leave horrible.
1badgtx 10-01-2010, 09:11 PM Hey wompin wedge, were did you get those blue headlight bulbs,I,d like some for my GTX...This is cool seeing heavy metal wheel stands!!!
Petty Blue 67 GTX
69clone 10-01-2010, 09:14 PM Beautiful Coronet. Cool, Not that my 318 is near fast but most people sure would think it was if they saw the wheels lift lol.
poppaj 10-01-2010, 10:06 PM That is blue chrome spray paint on the headlights, very easy to do. Got the paint at Wally World.

That is coming out the gate near perfect. No wasted motion of standing the body up before the car moves.
RacerAL 10-04-2010, 09:43 PM just like Ron's(383man)...this is about the best my heap can muster..although i'm only working with a 9 inch wide slick.

You may want to re-word that,Moose...
Great shot, folks. Ya gotta love a wagon launching like that. Might be hard to explain to the missus why the groceries are now a jumbled mess at the back of the car though...

Some of the Detroit kids out playin' at Milan. That track flat hooks. The top car is(if I remember-doh!) or was Bob McSwain's car-VERY fast for an aerodynamic brick. I don't know who owns the others;I love the Petty Blue 71 with the front up. Detmatt or the other Motor City cats might know who owns the others.
My goal is to someday have Sabrina The Sport Fury able to pull the front tires, even if it's only a little bit...
Redpolara 04-05-2011, 10:05 PM Great pics guys, unfortunately my 64 requires the assistance of a floor jack to even mildly resemble any of your efforts.
HEMI-ITIS 04-06-2011, 06:02 AM The big RED:bootyshake:
Redpolara 04-06-2011, 07:00 AM I'll have to get one of those HEMI,my blue one clashes with the car.
