hi all, i just got this sweet plymouth last weekend. it was made the same month i was born in! i wanted a car from 72 but to get one made in my month is too cool. its got a sick 383. by sick i actually mean sick, not awesome. it needs a rebuild im sure. it needs everything. spent all day sunday taking the trim off and cleaning the engine bay and trunk. working on the twisted bumper and fenders now.

Nice ride! At least it looks to be in better shape than my 72 Road Runner. You can check it out here to check my progress. But it will be a sweet ride when done.

thanks. i got it for $1,500.00 and the guy delivered it 2.5 hrs to my house for 20$ for lunch! he was a real nice guy. him and his friend stayed for an hour and a half looking at my cars and talking.
tore the bent front bumper and grille off tonight. fun fun. almost got the crushed lower valance off too but it got dark and the last 2 bolts were so rusty the socket cant grip. tomorrows dremel time. took the console apart to fix it too.
im gonna ask alot of stupid questions so be forewarned. but ive always heard that theres no such thing as a stupid question...just inquisitive idiots.
this is my first mopar project so there will be a learning curve.

Sounds like a nice fella....Goes to show there is still a lot of good folks out there.

Ask tons of questions! You'll be off to a good start with your first mopar resto.
Looking forward to watching your project unfold.

Have a good night and again, welcome!

Just FYI I have a 71 RR. Gotta love the style of these. Makes a 71-74 Charger look like a $20 hooker.
Check out the Road Runner Nest. web site. Dedicated to 71-74 Plymouth B bodies.

Fire away with questions.

ok how do i lower the front end.....? joke spoiler... its already got a big block .....and "mess with the torsion bars" isnt exactly enough info. wheres the bolt and which way do i turn it? how many turns equals how much lower, etc etc.... and how do i i.d. the rear end size so i can get new wheel bearings.

More than likley it has an 8 3/4 ..Do not mess with the torsion bars too much...You,ll loose the ride and the handling of the car...Check out your post for lowering your car for a link...Drop spindles is the answer..'

thanks, whats the purpose of the 4 fuel lines at the top rear of the gas tank? never seen that before. should i get a metal lower front valance or a fiberglass one? im afraid a fg one will crack on install. does anybody have a rally dash wiring diagram? thanks

Welcome and great car you got there.
Best advice I can give you when you start your project is to get the Factory Service Manual. (FSM) I try to get one with every new to me project I start. It really helps.
There are a great bunch of folks here who know there stuff and that are always willing to help.
Especially if you're buying lunch......

Hey flatblack 72, Nice looking Satellite- :)
Wanted to let you know about the fuel line question you had- Ill probably not be using the evap system but it was org. but thats why theres 4 lines
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/3125/grp25pg14.th.jpg (http://img220.imageshack.us/i/grp25pg14.jpg/)

Definitly get a Metal Lower Valance- it only weighs about 16 pds and is much stronger
Easier/cheaper to get off local/ebay rather than repros

I suggest http://www.roadrunnernest.com/
for more info:) Theyve been great as far as info/great tips

Recently picked up a Body/Chassis Mannual for 72 Plymouths so asembly will be a ton easier--so if u need info pm me
