How did you get the rear window trim off? I've bought several tools and no luck. Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks Mike

I have an ell shaped tool that is pointed on the end. I insert it under the trim on the outside, then follow along till I hit a clip. Then gently pull out on the trim lip and presto, it pops loose. O.K. maybe not presto, more like "you dirty little fricken fracken sob" All while staying cool calm and gentle.

That applies to alot of things on a Mopar doesn't it.

Painted the top.

These are a couple of steering wheels I bought off of ebay. They both stated they where NOS. The red one is in fact NOS, while the tan one is not. There is some texture on 64 wheels that wore down rather quickly. I was still happy with both. The red one is going on my sport fury.

The car's comming along nicely, I like the chrome dividers on the rim of the steering wheels.......was that a Plymouth thing?, i've never noticed them on the Dodges.

The dividers was Plymouth in U.S.A. & Dodge in Canada. The Red one was a Canadian wheel, and I have the NOS Dodge emblem For it.

As a fellow '64 Fury builder all I can say is "I'm JEALOUS"! Your car is looking beautiful and I look forward to seeing more of the build.

I have done a little more on the Sport Fury. I decided to restore the heater myself. It was not too bad, I bought a rebuilt heater control valve & a insulation & seal kit. Cleaned and painted & put it back together. I also installed the carpet.

And the carpet.

Is zolatone what was originally put in the trunks of mopars? and where can you buy the stuff at? Ive been looking for something that has texture for my trunk.

If you Google zolatone, one of the first companies will be global something, as I remember. They will have a tab for trunk paints. From there they will have years & manufactures.

Thanks for the site. The only thing is they dont give much info on the stuff. And I cant find the exact color on the zolatone site. Do you need anything else besides the paint to prep it? Or just spray on as is. Also can you buy this stuff anywhere else like automotive stores?

Go to www.tcpglobal.com and on the left side of the page drop down till you see trunk paints click on it, and it gives the correct color for your car.

Opps I think you have to click on restoration shop first.

I don't own the rustang or the 67 plymouth with the torque thrust. The rest are mine.

A friend of mine has a 67 Fury II that he keeps offering me for $1500, rock solid, just needs paint and a driveline... I'm always so tempted, I just don't have the time or the money.

I have done a little more on the 64, in between racing % work. Still have a ways to go. The shackles and traction bars will go away with the new rear end. Cut those heater hoses twice and there still too short, ha ha.

I am also not a painter. The body man that painted it was trying to keep dust from inside the body panels, from blowing out onto the paint. We cleaned it out as good as we could, but he was worried about what might blow out of all the cracks.

Interesting approach I guess. But hey, if it works and you get a nice finish that's all that matters. Can't wait to see it finished (as I'm sure you are too :))

He also said the new paints were making him sick. Full paint jobs were hard on him. He is close to having to retire, from paint related health issues.

'64 plymouth 2drhtp is probably my favorite mopar. i really enjoy the early b's and its neat to see folks putting them back on the road.

Been awhile since I posted any progress but I have been working on the 64 here and there. I put 3" pipes on it, it's a little over kill for a 383 but they sure look good Also put the new 65 rear housing and 3:55 gears in.

Started to put the Legendary interior in, and finished the dash.

And been finishing up some more under the hood. I have driven it a few blocks, and thats when I decided to put the new rear with the 3:55s in now. Also the folks around town thought mufflers might be nice.

Some outside trim, bumpers, side moldings ect.
