Well after a long Saturday putting together the final touches on the 65 Dodge at C & F Chassis ,its finally back home.Charlie & Freddie spent the whole day with me No Charge to get everything right.These guys are fantatic fabricators and really did me right on the price.
I guess it really wasn't too long from start to finish.Got the 65 Dodge from Chuck @ Best Machine in July and the B1 TS motor from ARC.

Hoping to get out this Friday to Atco for Black Friday T nT if all goes well.
Needless to say I am pumped beyond pumped.
There won't be any baby passes made with this car.
Right from the start I am hammering this badboy.
I have total faith in the way C & F adjusted the bars for my weight.
It is now a certified 25.5 cage to go 7.50's.

looks good, how does it sound... did you do a video?

going to bring the hood to the bodyshop this week to refiberglass the hood, fix the few nicks and repaint it.
I'm liking the new hood scoop.different and really looks pretty cool.
I'm usually a purist with these things but it does look good.

Watch out for migrating Geese with that hood scoop, you might suck one into the carb. LOL.

is a b1 motor going 9.70's! and only racing 2 cc events and going out 1st round at those events and being broke most the year.:pottytrain4::oops::icon_rolleyes:

That scoop is big enough to use a chain link fence with barb wire. LOL

Gary J is coming over to help fire it up. A select few you can't count on, if you catch my drift Hemi-itis. Its the stroker syndrome.

The Hemi Plus scoop looks good, although if you took the car over the border they'd probably expect to find a couple of Mexicans hiding in there.

You will prime the motor so oil pressure shouldn't be a problem. Crank the heat up in the Garage get everything warm, then open the garage door and fire it up. We need Video!!!

i found some video on the net of your new ride when chuck had it at milan running 8.50s with it.
for a large car it leaves hard off the line. it looks like it's going to be fun to drive.
MAN, that scoop is large. my friend has a 64 sport fury with a 6 pak scoop on it. we had to drill some 1" holes
in the back of it to keep the hood from bowing up in the center because of all the air going in it. good luck testing.

YEP, 3 holes are going in the back.

I'm thinkiing of dropping it down 1.5 more.
It looks like I'll have plenty of room even with the drop.
It's going to take some work but I think I might like it a little lower to the carbs.

We added extra bars are got a 25.5 certification to go 7.50's
We also readjusted the ladder bars for my weight. This car is gonna hook big time.
Can't wait till spring, its killin' me to get it out.

I had the Boar's head provision business on North Bond Street for quite a few years.From 1979-1991 with 5 trucks and 3 vans. before that i worked out of a little garage on lincoln ave across the street from Martimucci bros. Beer distributor. That garage was a real joke.

alot of those garages are jokes, unfortunately...... thats crazy man, somebody else from my neighborhood ! .... my grandfather had a nabisco route in mt. vernon/bronx ... i grew up on N.8th ave., behind columbus elementary on Gramatan ave .... man, i miss that place, but your right its not the same anymore

OK, So my hood just got redone and now it's 3/4" inch taller than the stock AFX Hood scoop.It's back home and on the car.
Now it looks just like the way I want it. Its going to the body shop for refiberglassing and a new coat of TX9 PPG Paint .Base CoatClear coat.
I got 1-1/4" over the top of the carbs.
Tell me what you think?

Mine ended up being 5-3/4" in front.
I could cut down the retaining tubes in front another 1/16" to drop down the front a little more.

Hoods going to the body shop this week.
Getting refiberglassed, body work and new base coat/clear coat black TX9 PPG paint.

Hood scoop is finished with all the fiberglassing inside and out.
I picked a great time for the bodyshop to work on it.
They filled in all the extra holes in the scoop and hood already.

I think once it's painted it's gonna have that stock appearing look to it.


Just got the Hood back all painted and refiberglassed. All I can say is WOW.
Paint is perfect. Reinforced with fiberglass and riveted into place. 15 coats of basecoat, 10 coats of clear. What do you think guys?

Big Thanks to Mark42202 for hooking me up with a mint set of 65 DODGE Hood letters.
And a cherry headlight switch. Mark is a class act.
Here's the picture I promised you with the letters installed.
