Mounted on the front of the heater box are the thermostatic control valves. There are two on an AC car. They are controlled by the heater lever on the dash. I have no idea why the engineers needed a separate one for heat regulation during AC and another for heat mode. Neither of mine seem to allow free vacuum flow. If I apply vacuum to the water valve on the engine side hot water flows.
Has anyone tried to repair one of these valves, or even dismantled one? It looks like I would destroy one if I attempted to take it apart.
I tried to get a Pic of the valves but it is impossible unless I remove them again, Sorry.
