What material do you guys prefer for fuel cells, ABS, aluminum, or steel/bladder setups?
Do you use high flow or regular fuel fittings?
Do you prefer ORB or NPT fittings into the tank?
What size lines do you use to plumb/feed the pump, bypass, and vent?
Do you use pusher, or puller, or push/puller pumps?
Why do you use the one(s), you use?

Depends on the type of race car. Circle, road, drag.
I use a steel 'bucket' with 22 gal. bladder. AN fittings with 3/8" steel woven lines from cell to carb. High flow mechnical Carter pump. For road racing/autocross. No bypass, and no regulator with that pump, and Demon carb. Vent is 5/16 steel woven hose to the outside atmosphere, as required by the racing body's rules. Why? Simple and effective.

abs tank, 2 #8AN fittings dumping 90 deg. down into a home made fuel block w/ 1/2' " npt ports, in & out to a barry grant filter to a holley black pump. (bigger feed the better to the pump). #8AN braided to the reg. then #6AN out both sides of reg. to each in on carb. don`t forget to include a fitting for the pressure gage. this setup feeds a 451 w/ lots a big stuff, vic. manif.,eddy heads, 1050, etc. no probs. ps-- i ran the #8 line up to behind the headlight, then back to the reg. thats mounted to the to the top of fender well. vent from cell is 1/2 alum. w/ a couple loops and out the floor so the fuel doesn`t get sucked out. don`t forget to run a ground to the cell. (nhra) hope this helps you.
