well it looks like I'm going to be working on the car I can't sell.It needs frame rails and was hoping someone who has done this before will offer some advice as to weather I should rep;ace the whole thing or just the part rusted AWAY!!!Its the last 2 feet and the rest looks and feels solid but how can I test to be sure?

If i were working on the car, i would replace the whole thing. that way i know it would be good and strong. just what i would do.

Yep. More work, but you'll be happier in the end replacing the whole thing

If it were mine, I'd replace it entirely just for my own peace of mind.

to me its almost just as much work replacing the whole thing
as it is to splicing it it in,
plus when your done, it won't look like a mickey mouse repair.

Well I was leaning towards doing the whole thing but after looking at it,the rest looked very good. Both sides need done and the floor of course. I'm in contact with a guy trying to get me the whole frame so guess I'll go that way thanks

if both sides need it, i would be lookin for a rear clip with both rails and x members all together and attached and do it as an assembly,
that way less chance for misalignment and/ or error
