You're going to have a hell of a time trying to decide what car to race this year.

Superstockracer wow that is 1 bad mama jama are you going to dyno it where do you usualy run. You should be in the 8's if the car is set up properly with your name I would assume it is. If I could get in the low 9's with a 479ci B engine in my old RR I would think a 572 with those heads would easly roll in the 8's. Good luck It's a thing of beauty I want one. LOL

Thanks it went 9.22 with old motor 3322 lb. heads flowed 380 cfm @ .800 lift with the old combo. We stepped up the combo and now heads flow 405@.800 lift. Trying a different cam, and putting in a new ATI 8" converter from the old 9.5 PTC.
Low tensile rings put in for vacuum pump. I should be able to get in the high 8's but not sure. .2 with these combos are tough to do.

Superstockracer Sounds like fun. I am working on a new project myself, I sold my old 68 RR to a local guy for 28K, he wanted something allready set up, I hated to see it go after 6 years of building & tuning. I got to keep a few parts for my other project, six pac hood, alum./elect. waterpump, alum. radiator, manifold & carbs. He wanted a differant hood & manifold set up that I had. I still have another 68 RR it won't be as radical but hopefully atleast quick maybee a high 10 sec. car at best when I can finish it, money is realy tight economy here in Cali. is not real good right now. IT looks like an 8 sec. pass in the near future for you, that's quite an accomplishment in a 3300lb car. Good luck. Budnicks

Ok SSR I have a question. What is the other fuel line for on your carbs? I know it is for fuel! I just have never seen 2 lines on that style of carb before. That thing must be one thristy MF.

One more thing. Stop with all the pics. It makes me totally jealous. You have to many nice/fast cars. You wouldn't be interested in selling the 63 White Plymouth would you?

Those are dual feed carter carbs. I tapped the other side for more fuel. Made it dual inlets because I run out of fuel in the non tapped side of the bowls. With this kind of HP , I found I was sucking the one bowl dry and leaning out one side of the motor.
Now I can run 6 psi and all banks are evenly fed the right amount of fuel.

15 x 3.5 fronts with 27.7 tires thats with the draglites.
15 x 10 with 6.5 backspace on rear 31 x 10.5W M/T's
Its slightly mini tubbed with ladder bars. THeres very little room under the rears.

The Weld aluma stars are 15 x 3.5 with Goodyear 26" tall tires which I do not like. Putting the 26" on my 65 Plymouth.

I really like it alot. Reverse flow cools heads 1st. Got the 2 lines coming from opposite ends of the top part of the radiator. I don't like it that way. Asked my engine builder why he did it like that. I wanted the top 2 lines to enter on the passenger side top on 1 side. He says it will be fine this way.
I ran it this way for 2 seasons with no problems and it runs very cool.

I just put on a pair of 27.7 Moroso drag specials instead of the smaller 26" Goodyear Eaglefront runners. With the 31 tall rear slick, it looks more symmetrical. Pics to follow.
I put the 26" on my 65 Belvedre since i'm running a 29.5 rear slick. The 26" Eagles look more natural on the 65 belvere since I went smaller on the rears.
