Shift kit(s)

While I've got the 'doba's tranny pan off I'm gonna install a shift improver kit. The two I'm considering are from B&M and TCI. Both are the same price but the TCI kit comes with a bunch of springs while the B&M kit uses a series of gasket and drilled plates to do it's thang. I'm not seeing much information on HOW either of the kits actually work. Just by looking at the contents of each kit I'm leaning toward the TCI. I think I would understand the mechanical-ness of the springs and balls vs the voodoo of blocked-off fluid passages and rerouted fluid. Anybody here used either one or have any recommendations? I also considered a kit by Trans-go but, it seems to be more racing oriented and I'm not going racing. Thanx, Jonny Y.

I had a tranny tech friend install a manual shift kit and stall conv. in to my 727HD
transmission years back. I wish I knew what it was that he had done? That thing is the
best! It's in my triple black XE now but, may pull it to put into my black GT here in
Florida.

Thats very helpful, GT. Thanks for the good info. 8-) . I'm just being a douche. I'm gonna order the TCI kit this week. Good or bad, you'll read about it right here. Y'all be cool, Jonny Y.
