Is there any good place to get one? 70WM21 W1 V6B 08-07-2010, 08:08 AM Saw this car many years ago (early 80's) at Carlise Pa. swapmeet. Genuine A12 car. R4 Red hardtop, Reflective sport stripes, Platinum Bucket seat interior, no console, 4 speed, original paint as I recall. asking price then was $3600.00 Not sure if car survives today? http://www.quicksilverdiecast.com/catalog/r46bblplat.jpg http://www.quicksilverdiecast.com/catalog/696bbl4rplat.jpg http://www.quicksilverdiecast.com/catalog/69rr6bblhood.jpg kidsixpack 08-08-2010, 11:05 PM That R4 with the silver int. is extreemly rare. It may be this car at the reunion in 09? KID kidsixpack 08-08-2010, 11:07 PM Are you 100% sure it was a 4spd? That color combo is really rare? Anyway here's the specs on this R4 with silver auto. KID 70WM21 W1 V6B 08-09-2010, 06:05 AM Yep positive it was a 4 speed I came close to buying it as it was really close to my 69 R4 383 Bird, as not many RR's had the optional white reflective sport stripes. I remember thinking it was really odd with a "silver" Bucket interior 4 speed without a console. Hope the car survives, as it was truly a stunning car, but back then very few people gave it a second look among the rows of Fords and Chevys. Wish I would have had the extra money then, as it would be setting next to my RR right now. That is not the same car as the one I saw was a Hardtop RM23 and the one you pictured is a Coupe RM21, nonetheless an incredible car! Thanks for the pic's they genuinely stir the heart! moparmaniac75 10-04-2010, 10:46 PM great pics guys I love the butterscotch color wingcarenvy 11-03-2010, 04:56 PM Here is mine. I bought it about 6 months ago, a dream come true for me. Its pretty rough but has a little rust under the vinyl but thats it! It also was raced when it was new so the original motor is long gone. EV2 4 speed with a Dana 60. About half of its original paint and original interior. BlknBlu 11-25-2010, 04:37 PM I used to own this car which is car 142 in the registry but sold it to a collector in Detroit. He does nationwide transmission warranty work as his business and have not seen the car since. Bruce SUPERSTOCKRACER 12-17-2010, 07:36 PM Love the pictures, I'm thinking about putting that 6bbl type hood on my clone. Is there any good place to get one? SUPERSTOCKRACER 12-17-2010, 07:42 PM Heres my A12 Superbee pure stock racer. All numbers match. After I sold it,I bought it back like 8 years later. He's had the car since he turned 16, he's 47 or 48 now. Original F6 car, but it has been J5 pretty much the whole time he has owned it. Still has original motor. He had 2 A12 bees, I bought the other one in 2008 -R4, 4-speed. I'm restoring the car right now. Statiik82 04-25-2011, 10:39 PM Also, what color is that one. 696pack 04-26-2011, 12:01 AM That is Turquoise metallic, very unusual on an A12 car. Statiik82 04-26-2011, 01:13 PM so its not a normal A12 color? or just not alot of them? I will get some pics in the next lil bit here of pops A12 now that our weather up here is waarming up finnally. 696pack 04-26-2011, 11:18 PM I sold Dodges new from 1968-1974. From the horse's mouth of our factory sales rep when he visited our dealership in 1969, he told me about the new car (440 six pack) and that they were planning on building 2500 for sales bank in the four new colors they were announcing at the same basic time. I asked "what if some one wants one in another color? He said that after the sales bank was depleted they would accept orders. Obviously they never got built and with the word out on them if a customer came in and wanted to order one in a specific color and equipment then one of the existing sales bank orders that was yet unbuilt would have been used and changed to meet the customers request. The Turquoise metallic was a standard B body color but not many sold in that color. Many sold in various shades of green as that was a very popular color then. The vast majority of the A12 cars were Red, orange, green or butterscotch. Attach is an original small add on color swatch to be added to the factory dealer Color and Upholstery Book showing the colors. This is a Dodge color chip and there is a mistake on it as they refer to the mustard yellow color as Bahama Yellow which was actually the Plymouth name for the same color. rileys68plymouth 04-27-2011, 09:14 PM Man I would love to find a white A12 runner project, that would be too cool 696pack 04-27-2011, 09:36 PM White was not a popular color on any muscle cars let alone and A12 but there are a couple of them out there. 17WithaCoronetRT 06-23-2011, 01:30 PM i love the picture of SUPERSTOCKRACER flippin off the camera hahaha SUPERSTOCKRACER 06-30-2011, 07:31 PM i love the picture of SUPERSTOCKRACER flippin off the camera hahaha that picture was meant for the moparts nasayers. terzmo 08-03-2011, 12:33 PM can a real Bee but an A12 clone be acceptable?? 440/six pak/4 speed/410 dana. I owned and drove this Runner for about 10 years. It's now up in Ohio.
