Would the complete rear window regulator assembly from a '69 Roadrunner be the same as a "70 Superbee? I'm finding there are several versions on B bodies.

Interesting question. For many years I thought the quarter windows on birds and bees were the same. BUT, I'm told they are not the same.....at least on the coupes. Also, the vinyl top trim is supposedly different. This might lead you to believe the hardtop quarter glass is different as well. If so, then it wouldn't be a far stretch for the regulators to be different.

SO....who out there has a parts book to look at???

I know chargers are different, and some runners and GTX's have a steel mounting plate rather than aluminum. from what I can find all B body hardtops take the same glass. I need to get some reulators but it's hard when you're not sure what will interchange.

From what I got with my car they're the type with the large aluminum plates, for some reason the original owner took them apart and lost half the parts. I can't imagine why mopar decided to make such a complicated abortion just to roll up a rear window but here I am.

If you think your manual windows are a bitch to find parts for and to work on, come look at the friggen POWER windows in my 66 Coronet! I don't know what I was thinking when I thought it would be cool to have an old muscle car with power windows! :(:Groaner: After the holiday's, I'm going to have to try and remove all of the PW system parts out of the car to restore them all and replace LOTS of the parts and pieces and I'm NOT looking forward to it!:Groaner:

I have a 68 Charger and have no idea how to get the regulator back in the rear. I have the the piece off that give me a little bigger slot from the top and the glass off but still cannot figure out how to get the sucker back in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The car I bought had the rear window regulators and window assembly torn apart and lodged in the cavity by a previous GM owner. He finally figured out they don't work like his Camaroach and gave up. I struggled with mine until my factory service manual I ordered arrived. My suggestion would be to order one from Year One or off the internet. They are about $60 and worth every nickel. I assume you have removed the side panel. on my Satellite convertible the regulator fit through a factory hole in the frame of the inner stucture. The procedure is to install the reg. inside the door then slide the glass assembly down from the top with the jamb seals removed and mate the regulator to the glass with the clips that hold the roller to the bracket on regulator. It took a while to figure out but w/o the book I never would have got it. Good luck
