Converting 2 speed windshield wipe rto 3 speed

I'm thinking about converting my two-speed windshield wiper system in my Super Bee to a three-speed. Can anyone give me an idea on:

- What parts I will need to completely convert it?
- How cumbersome would this project be / what would it entail?
- A good, reliable source(s) to buy the necessary parts?

Thanks in advance for the input.

You'll need the motor, switch, and all the wiring for it cause they have different wiring.

The wiring as long as it's still attached to the motor with the plug to the bulkhead, is the same in the dash harness. So that and the switch and that should be all you need. Finding the switch itself is not an easy task though since it's not reproduced. I had the wrong one in my Charger and took me months to hunt down a 3 speed switch that ended up costing me $70. The motors themselves go for $150+.

Someone referred me to Jules the Wiper Man. Anyone have experience with parts through him?

I've never personally bought anything from him but he does come highly recommended.

It gets discussed often on Moparts and you should be able to do a search for it there.

It is not actually the linkage it is the plastic cam between the motor and the linkage. The wiring is the same also. You need a switch, motor and cam. I believe Jules may have the cams.

I had a '72 Duster that I did the switch on and I swaped the motor and had to add 1 wire to the harness ( to the bulk head... I don't think I had to do anything in the dash)

I was referred to Jules the Wiper Man on another site. Here's his website and his reply to my inquiry for others to reference as needed:

On a 69 body you will need a 3 speed switch for the dash. You will need a tan color bushing instead of the black bushing at the end of your linkage arm. You will need a crank arm with part number ending in 273. Finally you will need a 3 speed wiper motor. I can supply all you need for the conversion. All parts are restored.

Motor is $325 US
Switch is $125 US
Crank arm is $25 US
Tan bushing is $20 US
Shipping $30 US (48 states and Canada)
