steering column pics

I need a pic of the 'exploded view' of the column for a '75 Road Runner. It's the standard column, not a tilt column. Someone's been into mine and I think it may be missing a piece or two. If anyone can post it up I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dallas

Try some Chevy boards. No, I'm not kidding. Mopar used Saginaw steering components all through the 70s. The columns, boxes and pumps are interchangeable. When I butched my lockplate and horn connection trying to get at the turn signal cancel cam, I replaced em with some Oldsmobile parts I had in my "junk-that-may-come-in-handy-someday" box.

I have a '75 RR parts car that has a complete floor shift column in it if you are interested in going that route.

Well, I think I have it figured out now. I was missing a snap ring and thought I might be missing something on the turn signal switch but it's all working fine now. Of course I haven't driven it yet. LOL

I've repaired alot of GM columns through the years but most of them were tilt. I just couldn't remember all the bits that went into a non-tilt column. It was partially apart when I got the car.

Thanks for the replies,
Dallas

I appreciate the offer, hopefully I have it fixed. I do need a black console lid and may be in the market for a better rear bumper. Do you have either of these?
Thanks,
Dallas

Sorry, I used the rear bumper on my car, and the console lid is toast. I do have a few very nice used and NOS parts left over if you need any thing else.

So, what else do you have? Not sure what else I'm going to need as I'm just reviving this thing after it's been sitting under a tree for over 10 years.
Thanks,

I lurk a little bit over here, too, Roger.

I do have quite a few rechromed bumpers for 75-78 B bodies and a few for 70-74s but haven't really thought about sticking them in the for sale area here yet. I tried that on the A body site - 3 weeks of PMs, moving around and polishing bumpers, pics, figuring shipping charges, etc. before I shut the thread down - didn't sell any bumpers, though . . . . . . :icon_frown: Just being truthful - thing is - a guy steared me to these sites telling me I should be able to sell a lot of them here - he didn't even buy the one he wanted. :icon_lol:

Truth is, I have been looking for a B body project car (or A body, too) without much luck. About the only one's it looks like I can afford that I have an interest in are probably 71-72 Satellites and 75-76 Fury IIs (Roadrunner). I'd have to probably sell the front and rear Fury II/Roadrunner bumpers I have as a set and give up on finding one rather than just selling the rear one I have by itself. Just letting you know. If you're seriously interested - get my number from Roger and give me a call or PM me. ;)

I think I have the car fixed now. It was missing a snap ring and another part. I had too much 'in and out' play in the column and the signals didn't work. But I think it's all good now. I haven't had time to drive it to be sure, though. Maybe in a few days.
Thanks,
Dallas

I saw your ad on FABO awhile back. I hadn't contacted you yet for the exact reason you listed above, I didn't want to take up your time unless I was ready to do something. (Frankly, I hate selling parts also, too much time spent for very little return.) Also, your bumpers may be too nice for my car. LOL I'm just trying to get it up into shape to sell it to someone who wants to restore it. I have way more cars than I'll ever be able to get done so I'm getting rid of a lot of them.
I have a fairly nice front bumper so I really only need a rear as mine is rusted through. If you just had a solid used one it would probably be good enough for my car. If not and you have an odd rear rechrome that you would be willing to sell separately I might be interested in one of those.
I don't need for you to clean and polish, get a bunch of pics or anything like that. Just when you have a little time let me know what you have and how much you want for it. I don't need for you to figure shipping before hand either. Shipping is what it is. If I decide I want a bumper then figure the shipping and I'll pay for it when I pay for the bumper.
Thanks,
Dallas

Well, the last post didn't make it so I'll try again. I think I saw that car was for sale in another post, wasn't it? From the look of the trunk lid it might be rustier than what I'd like to deal with but do you have any more pics? I'm currently watching a 75 Fury II a kid owns in central Illinois that's kinda rusty and waiting for his price to come down a little so I really don't want to get rid of just the back bumper by itself. I do have a couple of rear bumpers for 75-76 Coronets and Chargers, though - I think they are the same basic blanks but have holes for reverse lights in them. I don't think most people would notice the difference. Anyways, could you post a couple more pics - I couldn't find that car on your website.

The car isn't on my site as I haven't gotten around to updating it for some time. Seems like I might have offered it to a guy on here awhile back, maybe almost 2 years ago, can't remember for sure now. I had quite a bit of work done to it last summer getting it ready to drive. I bought it from a neighbor who had brought it here from Colorado over 10 years ago, then parked it under a tree. To get it running I had to put in a good gas tank, run new gas lines, install a new fuel pump, put another carb on it, a rebuilt alternator, new plugs and wires, and put in a different distributor, (can't remember if it's a reman or used). It ran terribly at first until I discovered that both the cat and the muffler were plugged up. I cut them off and the engine runs really good now. It does need a different carb as the one I put on was off of a 440 and had been sitting for a couple of years so it's a little finicky. I also had the rotors turned, new front brakes and reman calipers put on it as well as the wheel bearings greased in front, new back brakes, and a reman master cylinder. I believe they turned the rear drums also, I'll have to check the receipt to be sure. I also put on a NOS set of mags, I think they are called Crager Outlaws, new lug nuts, and a decent used set of tires. I've misplaced the center caps, though. I had the trans serviced, too. It still needs exhaust and a different carb but it drives down the road alot better than it looks.
The body is a little rough. It has a couple of scrapes in it, one door has a rusty spot, and the quarters and trunk extensions are rusty, can't remember about the front fenders. The trunk floor is scaly but I don't think it's rusted through. The frame rails are nice and the floors are good as far as I know. I also have a different front bumper for it that's pretty nice.
The engine is a 318 with an aftermarket aluminum intake and 4 bbl carb.
I think I've covered everything so here's a few pics. Oh, I just noticed I don't have any interior pics so I'll have to take some. And I would like to get $2500 for it.
Thanks,
Dallas

Thanks for the pics, Dallas. It looks like a pretty nice solid car and worth the price but needs a little more body work than what I'm looking for. Ron
