The radiator top tank has sprung several leaks. More than what I would feel comfortable having repaired. A local radiator shop said if I could come up with a good tank, they could recore the radiator and install the tank.
I looked into a number of the local car parts places and they had nothing. I browsed Summit and YearOne and felt I would be giving up the factory look with their offerings.
It's a 4 speed car and I'm looking for some ideas where to look for a tank or radiator.
Thanks

if its a big block....good luck. Ive been looking for a radiator for a '74 400 b body for over two years. Only thing I have found so far is aluminum and they are lots of $$$$.

If its a Big Block should be a 28 inch Rad. you should be looking for a 3692947 for 400 and 440.

I got an aluminum one off of Ebag for about 200. Been running it a couple of years in my 73 440 Runner and haven't had a problem.

I am getting my '74s 28 inch recored, picking it up tomorrow. I had a small mist leak on the top tank and after it was fixed, pressure test uncovered several leaks at the bottom. NAPA carries the 2 core replacement for around $250. I wanted to keep the numbers so went the recore route. Also turns out mine was a special order 3 core, I guess due to a 440 with air:shruggy:
