gas tank paint,what color

bought new tank for 71 bee what color should it be.has any one powder coated there tank.

Unless it's brand new or a fuel cell that can be cleaned VERY well, I wouldn't recommend powder coating a gas tank. Can't speak for everybody, but I wouldn't want one blowing up in my oven. :-)

My 68 and 73 Charger are black, so is my 70 Cuda.

If you want a fast cheap alternative, check out Lowes and grab a can of rustoleum Appliance epoxy Stainless Steel paint. Very close to the original metal color in a rattle can, and you can clear it if you want for easier cleaning, but the clear will change the appearance of the paint a little.

I used the Eastwood Tank Tone on the new tank in my '74. I didn't know what would be color correct, but I didn't want the shine of the new metal and wanted some sort of protection.
