AdamR 07-01-2008, 07:05 PM Anyone know of a low mileage Hemi Super Bird ? A friend of my has a W1 white Hemi bird, Bench seat column shift auto, California emissions car showing 5000 original miles on the odometer.
Of coarse they were mostly put on at 200mph on the Salt flats !
flypaper 07-18-2008, 03:34 PM as i have said elsewhere, i take most of the low mileage claims with a grain of salt.
it is so easy to disconnect or spin back an odometer on a 40 or so year old car.
AdamR 07-18-2008, 04:30 PM This car is documented and was in one family till a few years ago. But I know what you mean..

who would admit it the mileage that is ?
I just think that a Superbird with like 350k miles would be awesome.
It would have been driven all over and have tons of stories to tell....
440scout 07-29-2008, 12:07 PM i dont know how you could NOT drive a car like that/... im in mine all the time infact i dont think i own a mopar with less than 150k on it..

AdamR 08-06-2008, 04:08 PM Pete's return email,
"3,644"
So it would seem the answer is no, He doesnt know how many miles are on it seeing he states 1900 here and 3400 miles in his email, LOL either way I was wrong on my 5000 mile figure.

could be , but i dont know him that well :rolling: :rolling:
chargervert 08-07-2008, 06:28 PM The problem is there are two Petes, and both have Charger convertibles,so I can see how you're getting confused. I'm the Rhode Island Pete, with the orange 70 Charger convertible, and the other Pete,is from Connecticut, and has the Sublime Daytona Charger convertible,as well as two wingcars, one is a green 69 Daytona, and the other is the white 70 Hemi Superbird. I thought that the Bird had 1900 miles showing, but it may have been more, but I know it's definately less than 5000,and may very well be the lowest mileage Hemi Superbird in existance. Pete is a nice guy,and he has some really sweet wingcars.
AdamR 08-07-2008, 06:32 PM And there you have it. Im not as dumb as I look.LOL The car has 3644 miles.
moparstuart 08-07-2008, 07:04 PM And there you have it. Im not as dunb as I look. The car has 3644 miles.
wow what a mess !!!!! SORRY
so chargervert pete why dont you know if you live in mass or RI ???
chargervert 08-08-2008, 02:57 PM Hey Stuart,I know where I live! I live in RhodeIsland, where I've lived for the last 25 years. My new shop is in Mass. I live right on the Mass/RhodeIsland line.
moparstuart 08-08-2008, 03:40 PM cool i have the same deal here My shop and salvage yard are in missouri ,and i live in kansas. They a 60 miles a part . Sorry again for my assumtions no harm meant .
chargervert 08-08-2008, 06:55 PM Mass is about a mile in two directions from my house. If you go north, you'll be in one Mass town,or if you go east you'll be in another Mass tow,,all within a mile or so. Back to the topic,I seriously doubt there's a lower milage Hemi Superbird out there, than Petes Hemibird.
birdsuper70 08-08-2008, 07:11 PM nice looking collection.
flamindodgeute 08-19-2008, 04:37 AM Great garage for them to.

72 Runner 11-15-2009, 09:37 AM Great cars Memeep. Now back to the original question about the low mileage Super Bird. The White car. Did that happen to be the Jim Lindsley Super Bird? I met him about 1978 after he retired to Riverside Cali. He had another Super Bird behind his barn that could be seen from the freeway. My brother and I stopped to see if was for sale. "No" he said "but I got some other junk in the garage you might like to see". It was the Bonneville car and it had rediculously low milage. All at 200+ MPH. Aww the memories and what a neet guy. I heard they restored that car years later.
72 Runner 11-15-2009, 10:07 AM I just took some pictures from an old photo album. The first picture is of the car. The second is my brother in the blue car, me in the orange car, and Jim Lindsley at the race car. Sorry about the poor photo quality, but you should get the idea.
