Obi-Damned-Kenobi 01-06-2009, 11:27 AM Hello Mopar Friends,
Im Rino, 26 years old, drive a 1966 plymouth satellite with 318cui and want to make the car look better with new rims!
A friend told me that you can help me with my questions...
Want to buy nascar aero steel wheels or american racing steels in black.
But wich width and backspace can i drive?
And tires? ...because of the transmission?
Want to drive 8x15 rims with 235/60/15 in rear and 225/60/15 in front.
Is this ok...or is more in rear possible...?
Hope you can help me.
And sorry that i am not the best in descriping and speech;)

69 Runner 01-06-2009, 11:38 AM Welcome. You've come to the right place. There are a couple of people here who are pretty rabid when it comes to 66-67 B bodies. I'm sure one will chime in and help you out!
Obi-Damned-Kenobi 01-06-2009, 11:44 AM That would be great because i want to buy the rims the next days...
Work every winter at my satellite to drive the summer without problems. This winter, exhaust, wheels, tires, shoks in rear, new paint for bumpers and a lot little things...
Thanks
Rino
John Lang 01-06-2009, 02:19 PM In regard to your question about your 66 Satellite, I drive a 67 Satellite w/ an 8.75 rear and I race the car ever so often with slicks which are 9" Wide x " 29.5 " High.Use an 8 in wheel with an 4.5 Back space. It fits perfect! You can just use your street tire size from my slick sizes to what ever size that works out ! What part of Germany are you in ? My parents came from Baverians? My spelling really sucks Have fun, Auf Weidersain! John Lang
Obi-Damned-Kenobi 01-06-2009, 04:10 PM Hey John,
thanks for your answer!
On your 67 sat is oll original...?
In the rear the 8x15 schould not the problem...but in front, is it a problem with the suspension?
Iam from Dillingen in bavaria....

696pack 01-06-2009, 05:44 PM With stock suspension I don't think you want anything much bigger than 215s. I have 205s on my 66 Hemi car in the front and 255/60 X15s drag radials on the rear on 7" wheels with 4.5" back spacing. Stock wheel whees and stock Hemi suspension.

Meep-Meep 01-07-2009, 11:08 PM Wie geht's, guten tag!!
I have 235 70 15's on factory 15x7 steel wheels all around on my 66 Belvedere. The car seems to sit pretty low (it came that way) and it doesn't rub anywhere. I tried to put some 15x7 slot mags I had lying around but not enough back space at 3.75". Like the guy said, need 4.5" or so. I would like to get 8's or 9's stuffed under the back of my car and from what I've read here it's doable.
Obi-Damned-Kenobi 01-08-2009, 05:06 AM Thanks for reply!
