I don't know if it's an R/T ( note the R/T doors ) with a Bee decal on the hood or a Bee with R/T doors anyway , they are all sweet .

IMO
it has super bee emblems on hood/ side therefore its a super bee or superbee clone

Edit: i do belive i know that car and it started off life as a charger 500

Very Nice....71's are my fav!

Here are some more!

The first two pics are my 71...the rest I wish were mine... :D

And, yes I do like this body style the best out of all the Chargers, but I'm biased... :tongueflap:

And out of all the 71's I like black the best...

Oh, and for 71 the Super Bee is technically a Charger....

actually, the first pic (green Rt with bee decal) IS a RT i read about it in a old MCG the factory put the wrong decal on the hood and it was sold like that! im 100% sure its the same car its a 4 speed hemi car!

I vaguely remember reading about that car now that you mention it .
71 Charger - I have a 73 that was 3x Black from the factory and I agree that they are sweet that color . Mine is going back to Black when it is finished .

Im glad someone else remembers, there was something else about that car...iether it was a non console (bucket seat) 4 speed or it was a bench seat 4 speed car (cant remember) and i think the seller had another hemi charger for sale too? (but i may be mixing 2 stories into one lol!) i do remember the new owner contacted the original owner who said it always had the bee decal on the hood. So, do you change it for a RT decal? or leave it as it is?

Green 71 Hemi R/T is David Hakim's (Mopar Performance) car. Super Bee sticker is a factory mistake. I've seen this car many times. Its the real deal.

The 1st one is an 71 Hemi 4spd R/T 100% survivor that left the factory with the wrong hood decale. It's even documented. I guess I should have mentioned that but I'm used to it. It belongs to Dave Hakim of Mopar Performance and has been featured in several magazines.

This is true, it is a 73 bulge hood but who care? is looks awesome! they should have offered the bulge hood on their other models imo. imagine getting a ramcharger hood on a loaded 71 se!

You're absolutely right Mike, That first car is an R/T it was sold new at Kapus Erickson Dodge, Chrysler in Superior Wisconsin which is about 10 miles from where I live. The car was featured in MCG and it is a factory screw up on the Bee decal. It's been like that from day one the car is a survivor and still has the factory (or at least dealer installed) cold weather package, block heater. Oh..... by the way...... I'm new here and I'm liking it!

Where do I get my '71 Charger SE restored? 440, triple black and loaded with options. I've added a power bulge hood from a '72 or '73. It's straight and complete but needs TLC b\c it's been sitting in my driveway in NY for some time now b\c I've been super busy since buying the house, working, raising 2 kids, etc.

I'm so jealous of you guys. I haven't had much time nor money to finish my build recently due to us buying a house. I just don't have the time to do what I need to do unfortentally. Someday it'll be done, in the mean time I'm becoming a very big fan of the plum crazy chargers.

You're not far from one of the best MoPar restoration shops in the country located in New Windsor NY. It's called Empire Mopar's and have read many articles in MOPAR ACTION magazine. They can restore to your specs. Here's the web site.
