I am getting to the point where I am ready to put my dash back together, but would like advice on the instrument cluster grounding. Previously, before I changed it around, there was a ground wire soldered directly to the circuit board and connected to the voltage regulator. This has since been removed and replaced with a brand new circuit board and voltage regulator.
The main question is grounding from the cluster frame to the actual cluster itself. Previously, the ground wire went from the mount for the heater controls, to the back side of the cluster. Is this the right way to do it? Is the ground wire even 100% necessary? I am no good with electrical stuff so any advice is appreciated.
