I was at an auction over the summer for a '68 Hemi GTX ( sold for $175,000 incredibly) which was attended by a number of Mopar guys. There was a '69 18 spline there that sold for $600, so yeah, for an unknown trans, I think you're kinda high.

Those shift plates are flipped like it has O.D. internals. A regular 4 speed (18 or 23 spline) would have both the 1/2 and the 3/4 plates the same direction.

I paid $400 for one a while back in perfect working order but it had been slick shifted. Not something that everyone wants but was EXACTLY what I wanted.
