73 Roadrunner for trade

Ran great when parked a few years ago. Very strait, very clean, Nevada body. Currently has a 360 auto. I have some new parts to go with it. It was orange when I brought it home. I few hours with some 3m compound and there is shiny red correct code paint under there! This is a factory red car with white strobe stripe option. This is a real RM code car, not a clone. Appears to never have been in an accident, and almost zero rust.

I have replaced the tail lenses and a few other parts that were not so good. I also purchased a new tank for it because I bought it with no cap on. I figured the stock tank might not be too healthy.

Located in Gardnerville, Nevada (Near Reno Tahoe). Looking for a 67-69 Dart driver, 65-69 coronet, or a wagon, or any vert. Must be a decedent driver. I bought the Roadrunner for a winter project but I just don't have the time.

Lookin for a trade if possible. No one has cash these days. I'd probably ask around $5,500 with the extra parts.

I'd rather trade though. Troy

If your serious I know of a 73 Road Runner that is a numbers match 340, auto car. It is also a factory black car! The body is good except for some work in the quarters and it comes with a lot of new parts(bumpers etc). The car runs excellent. It can be had for $3500!

It's in southern NJ!

Troy, why are looking to get rid of it? I remember your post when you got it. Have you done any work to it or picked up any additional parts for it since then?

I changed jobs and I have no extra time now. I'm working all the time. I was going to make it a winter project.

I bought a new gas tank, window trim, new lenses, and a few other items for it. I also rubbed out about 1/2 of the car (13 hours of buffing). The original owner didn't have a gas cap on the car, so I figured I'd just buy a new one and swap them out.

Would you be interested in a 71 Demon,/6 driver, needs a few things, but is pretty solid? Or a 73 RUST-FREE Duster /6 auto driver? I have them listed on FABO if you want to see them:grin:

You say it "currently has a 360". What was it originally, a 318 and 904?

Could you please send me the info on that Roadrunner? I am in the market for a vintage Mopar and this style Roadrunner is one at the top of the list!!!

It is an original 318 car. I can e-mail the Vin and fender tag to anyone interested. It has a Really Nice Nevada body. I have already decoded the car and I know all the options.

I sent a PM to those who requested more information.

P.S. My bottom Dollar is $5,500 cash or trades. I won't go any lower. Thanks, Troy

Did you buy it NY2000?

It's still here!!! I dropped the original tank to replace it a few days ago. I had to order a new fuel tank sending unit, and the gas filler neck grommet. They should be here in a few days.

I still have to pull the carb and install a kit, blow out the fuel line, and I think she'll be ready to fire up. I also have a new PPG windshield being installed tomorrow. Rear window trim is being installed at the same time.

I am amazed at how rust free the trunk floor underside is. Here are a few more pics under the belly and inside the trunk. It's dusty but not rusty!

Here are a few more pics. Trunk, under trunk, and rally guages. Troy

You keep working on it like that..and before you know it, you will be buffing out the rest of that paint and wanting to keep it.....ask me how I know...lol

I know what you are saying. I'm actually starting to get excited about starting it. But if someone throws $5,500 cash at me right now, it's gone.

I've got $14,000 cash locked up in the glovebox of my car out in the parking lot right now and if you were in Rochester, I would be tempted to throw ya $5500 for that car. But its going towards my roadrunner and the Sattelite

Update, 6-28-2009. It's alive! Oil down the cylinders for a few months. Took care of the large wiring issues. It fired up and blew white smoke for about 5 minutes. Cleaned out and seems to run really good.

I noted Harland sharp roller rockers, high volume fuel pump, chrome box, and an upgraded coil. I'm stoked!!!!

Here are some updated pics

I gutted the interior for new carpet and room to work under the dash. I also bought a stripe kit and new birds for it. I would still trade it if the right car came along as I have little time to work on it. So far no offers, I will continue slowly working on it. It is garaged, and starting to look really nice. Troy

If you didn't notice, I also rubbed the paint out. I will be ordering a new carpet kit soon. I pulled the old carpet and the floorpan is in good shape. Troy

Still available. I started striping it and it's now running well. The interior is out of the car and I have a new carpet kit. Troy

oh come on.....it's only about 2/3s way across the country. Fly out and drive it home.

troyintahoe

It would be tough to drive it home with no interior in it:)

I friend of mine shipped a 59 Apache truck to Wisconsin from here last week. It was $1,300 for the job. The truck wasn't running. I don't have any idea what it would cost to tn, but I would be willing to ship if you provide the transport. Troy

WELL my unlce is a trucker I'm gonna see if his group has any haulers going out that way that could grab it on a return trip. if i can work something out i will let you know, and i would take time off and fly and drive her home but i have had so much time off work already from my accident that i couldn't take more if i wanted.

It will be probably be here for a while. All the trade offers I have had weren't worth a darn.

Make sure you read my thread well.

The Roadrunner is not a driver at this point. It needs the interior put back in, It needs header gaskets, and it has a leaky power steering box. It is not far from being a driver, but not a driver, at this point in time. I don't want you having any surprises if you pull the trigger.

I have a 71 charger thats my driver, this would actually be a gift for my mom and dad dads got a 1950 dodge but isnt fond of it anymore and hes thinking of selling so i figure he'll either play with this one or trade it for a 73 charger.
