dashes, switch pannels, electric fans wpsOHD 07-19-2008, 09:42 AM I have done dashes OHD 07-19-2008, 09:52 AM We have done battery relocation with remote solenoid OHD 07-19-2008, 10:00 AM I have done kick ass electric fans, YEA WE HACKED UP A BRAND NEW RON DAVIS CUSTOM RADIATOR... We had to do minor modifications to the core support, like cut the top out:yes: , make a new bar , and cut the hood under support :tongueflap:, inorder to move the rad forward, to clear the Meziere HD wp. Then custom design and make a relay system with motor controller relays hidden with a custom made cover mounted right next to the radiator...controls hi low fan and water pump speeds through adjustable rstats.:grin: with the dual wt sensors mount in the filler neck of the Meziere pump... OHD 07-19-2008, 10:18 AM We have done electric controlled side oiling through uses of accumulators yup thats a -12 line feeding a manifold that feeds the mains through 3 -4 ss lines....NOBODY ELSE HAS DONE IT ;) YET.... OHD 07-19-2008, 10:34 AM and Electrical is not my favorite, I love to mess with motors called "hemis" and get the "best" parts from the lowest cost sources..... Get the hint why they did not like me over at :grin:The censor happy "buy from our boys" website??????? They want you to play with their ":sSig_noob: s " or fade away....... smokinwoody 07-20-2008, 08:25 AM I realy like that block oiling system you have there... I use a Master Lube system that I plumbed to the back of the block...I use it for pre-start..gives me 40psi and uses an electric solonoid and air pressure... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0555.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0519.jpg for a radiator/cooling system I use a Northern 31x19 dual pass aluminum radiator ,a stock aluminum pump housing with a CVR electric pump.. there are twin Spal fans that realy SUCK air thru this monster radiator and keeps 850hp cooled at 145* http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0517.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0557.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/Picture254.jpg I love doing electric..probably because I've done it all my life... I use Trick Switch's roll cage panel with pilot lit rockers that energize relays built in the housing...when a switch is "thrown" and the light comes on..its telling you from the load side the relay is putting out power... its realy a "TRICK" setup and its backed up with breakers not fuses... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/Picture059.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/Picture055.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/Picture054.jpg as for battery disconect,I too have a continuos duty relay mounted in the trunk...works great and takes a lot of the "HEAT"(load) off the battery disconect switch...all this is in my Duster and its strictly a drag car (working machine) so its not all pretty but functional... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0960.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN0963.jpg the ignition, some relays, digital shifter(air shifted)are installed on an aluminum plate that can be removed as a whole... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/DSCN3528-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/smokinwoody/Picture056.jpg OHD 07-20-2008, 09:16 AM Hi there Woody. If you would like to see some neat power distribtion blocks and posts look up Blue Sea and browse through their catalogue. I use one on the fire wall, one on the inside of firwall, and one in back , they eliminalte lots and lots of wire. Make things real neat and clean. Also, if you ever have intermittant problems with your ignition switch to the 7ML module. It is constructed with heavier duty components and is waterproof. Even better and way more costly is the Nascar waterproof module. | |||
