swapdaddy, so it appears there were metal pentastars. Is OHD correct with the years?

I don't know what year they switched to plastic,but I do know the early ones are metal. They appear to be some sort of brass alloy. Jerry PS I think they continued with this through most ,or all the 60s. Jerry

The very first one's I ordered from our local parts dealer was in 76 or 77 and they were plastic...and they were 70 cents a piece...the last ones I ordered were a $1.00 and I still have a tool box drawer full of them

No...just wanted you to know that I have one similar but not like the pic you posted. Not sure what year mine belongs to.

BTW, I noticed that Herb's Mopar Parts are selling that exact one you posted for $12
