Car Speakers

I bought some car speakers for my Doba. Sony Xplod 5 1/4 in speakers and don't want to cut holes in my door panels. So how did you mount your speakers? Post up your pictures.

I put mine in the kick panels in my Satellite.

How it look?

I think they look great but noone will notice them much down under there. There about 5 in round and with the cover on looks like there supposed to be, not, but im saying they do look good.

I built a pair of boxes for my 5" round 3-ways. Used 1/4" ply.... lined with styrofoam and covered with a carpet materal. I then routed the speaker wires behind the kick panels and under the sill plates and under the front seat. Using RC connectors I can disconnect and reconnect the speaker if I wish to remove them. I allowed about 10' of speaker wire so I could locate the speakers anywhere in or out of the car. Great for cruise in's, shows and the drive-in shows, they sound great. Best thing.... No cutting of anything on my car.

I found this "new in the box" Kenwood radio for $100.00 with free shipping on ebay and mounted it in the glovebox.
It's am/fm-CD-with remote control and I can plug a Ipod into it. Now I have the "purest" original look with a great sound system.

I was thinking about mounting a new radio in side the console. I'm not sure it will work properly.
