are these intakes even worth their weight in scrap.

Well... the cast iron intakes are really only worth something to someone doing a "restoration" as opposed to a restification....which most people seem to be doing. The last cast iron intake I sold was a small block 4V and I got $20 for it and was happy to get it. Same swap meet I sold that intake at I passed on a cast iron 340 intake for $25. Probably shoulda bought it. But I was in a sell frame of mind.

I'd like to have your LB tunnel ram just as a conversation piece (cause I have no use for it) but I can't see spending $125 to let it collect dust. That doesn't necessarily mean I don't think it's worth that. But most people building "go fast" stuff are using RB's instead of LB's.

You are right on the conversation piece.It does get some attention when people are in the garage.I had visions of 400 stroker when I got this in trade.I realized I do not have the funds for such a project or the know-how to set it up.I have enough problems with a 650 dblpmpr on a mild 360.Thanks for the response.
