Hello, has any one ever use electric brakes? Also my 68 roadrunner has disc brakes up front drum rear, now my question is , my master cylinder has a bolt in the middle is that the right one?

Well, that's a project I finished in July of last year. 65 GTO on a Rodworks chassis. Center mass would be an ABS Power Brake http://www.abspowerbrake.com/index.html electric brake master cylinder. The actual electric booster and accumulator are mounted to the frame just in front of the MAST built Supercharged 454 LSX. (Something like 800 hp). You'll also see the hydralic clutch master and reservoir for the Hurst Driveline Conversions sourced Tremec 5spd. I actually prefer the Keisler Hydralic T/O bearing assy, but they are being a bit difficult to work with. (Way nother story). Anything in question in paticular you would like to know about? Just ask....

That bolt you speak of should be the retainer bolt for the master cylinder piston/pistons. If your car is an original 68 disc brake car, they are different from later models. Your car should have the rare 4 piston bendix brake calipers on it. I would try to retain those if you are keeping car stock. They are seldom seen.

Hello, 68 chicken I have own this car for 36 years and a lonk time ago I switched the front drums to disk of a 70 roadrunner with a single piston caliper I remember removing the proportional valve, spindles,sway bar but I dont remember changing the master cylinder . I was reading somewhere that if it has disc/drum it should have a wire clip over the cap, In another note Im switching from manual to power steering do u know how long the column is under the hood?

Sorry Ralph, Just got back in town. My 68 has wire clip bail for m/c cap. As far as the steering coloum mine is power steering , and it is still out of car. PM me if I can take some measurements of it
