reinforcing k frame

My K frame has had some welding on the left side were the lower controll arm shaft goes into the k frame.The right side has knot had this yet.I have to clean the k up to get a good lookat it.Now should i weld a small plate around the hole were the shaft goes,or leave it.Just figure now should be the time to reinforce it.How do i do this and what should i do or dont.Hope someone is willing to help.I cant seam to get what i need at FABO.My car isa 69 Dart.Here is a pic of the k in question.Thankyou.don.

Great suggestion, we reinforce the K frame on any of our pro-touring builds. The biggest area you need to worry about flex is where the steering box mounts to the car.
