No, I wish some of them were mine. I did go look at a 66 coronet today. The guy wants to trade for my Duster, and it is very tempting, but I'm just not sure yet? The Coronet is pretty cool, but so is my Duster.

I hope you marked the flex plate and took the converter off of the engine before you set it in, or your going to destroy the front pump in your transmission. The converter must go in the transmission first, and you have to make sure its all the way back.

Wow, I hope you didn't have damage done to the car with the blown tire! :worry: What color is your interior? Any more pictures of the car that you can share?

As far as that beautiful mountain pictures goes though, I think that you should post LOTS more pictures like that one for the folks on this board who can't find their garages in the snow, let alone drive their cars right now. Very cool that the tire issue didn't cause any serious damage and THANK YOU for the excellent pictures! From what I understand, there is a pretty nice grouping of very nice Mopar's on the islands and your pictures seen to prove that point! Not to get off this threads subject topic, but here's a couple of pictures that I took last summer at a public park about a half mile from my home here in Phoenix AZ. :)

Hi Bryan,

Those are some BEAUTIFUL cars and I REALLY love your two 66 Chargers! :)

Richard

Thanks Richard...the black 66 was my first car I got on my own back in 1974, the yellow 66 we bought from original owner in 1996 I think, 160,000 mile original car, both are 383 factory 4-spd car, yellow car was born on May 2nd, black car was born on May 6th.

Purple car is just a toy we built from scratch....little Dart is slant 6 powered with AC, power steering, and auto trans...

More pics of each are at my Hub Garage link in signature at bottom

That is one BEAUTIFUL 69 Road Runner! I hope you don't mind me saving and sharing the pictures you posted above. The color combination is fantastic and the Red Line tires and Magnum 500 wheels are absolutely PERFECT and it's also a 4 speed car, so it just doesn't get any better than that!

http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=527

Appears to be 99% unmolested. 85000 on odo, 1 repaint, can't find any body work except can't locate where hole was for original antenna ?!? Has 1974 tags. most metal in interior has heavy surface corrosion. Looks like carb has never been off or worked on. Has all a/c lines and underhood brackets.

Plan is to mothball original engine and build/buy 400 stroker to run fast but still on mid grade gas. Temporarlyi installing 318 so it can move under own power while I put on discs from 5th Ave and put in new fuel tank etc, and find other issues if any.

EDIT...Hmmm, how do you directly link a photo from the gallery section?

OK, got it...different pic.

no money ? not working on anything except the birds motor , it should be done and back running end of next week . For the st louis wing meet .

The 500 is stored away in long term storage in southern kansas , that is my project for the far future .

The 69 charger to daytona is my current project , but I need a ton more parts to get it completed and in thei economy no cash .

My brothers old car the 70 RR 4 speed post car , will be after the 69 daytona clone .

The 69 runner has been to 15 shows and cruises in the last 2 months , I really need to get it into the body shop for a buffing and touch up a couple places , but its the step child right now . LOL

My "love/hate" relationship.
70 Coronet I had shipped to me from Delaware to Indiana.
Just a 318/727 combo I built up with some hot parts and loud Flowmaster exhaust.
I drive it several times a week around town and that sparks the "love" part, then I look up restoration parts and that sparks the "hate" part!

Nice pink Charger.

Girl gets extra points for color matching.

Couple of years ago "Bongo" made shorts in almost every HIP color.
(Not on purpose, I'm sure)
I distinctly remember Corporate Blue, Lemon Twist, Lime, and Butterscotch.
Not to mention bright red and orange, etc.

I you've ever seen chicks wering Bongo's then you'll understand why I know that name brand!

Let's just say they are cut to flatter a well formed female figure.
They are sized and marketed to the younger crowd, but my wife can still wear them at 44 :)

Now has a 400 with 440 crank (452ci) with a Tim Hyatt slipper clutch, same 4 speed. Rear is now a Strange 60 with 4.30 gears and Detroit Tru-Trac:

One of the first runs after putting in the new engine, original clutch did not last very long :tongue5:

Here is some pics of my car before I took it apart it was pretty clean when I bought it. I been working on it a lil at a time for about a year now. Just finally got all the undercoating off the car I am so glad that part is over with LOL!!! The floors where almost like new a pleasant surprise. Me and my friend had rebuilt the original 273 motor we had done some work to it mostly machine work got the compression up to 10:6:1 by milling the deck on the block and heads. Just upgraded my 741 ham to a 489 and put a set of 3:91 motive gears and powder coated the ham. The plan is to make this a pro touring car with a big block when finally done. I am having tons of fun doing it. Anyway heres some pics of before and during and after some projects where done.

Oh, and I suppose you should ignore the tarp too, but it works well for keeping the water out of the car.

I think it looks like the turn table from Best of Automotive. They usually have some spectacular cars and I am on the mailing list to read about the new ones coming in (not that I could ever afford any of them.

Here is MY 1969 Charger RT/SE when I brought it home. It should be on the road next spring with a transplanted 400 from a 72 Newport. It will take some time to put a 440 back together for it. Anyone have a good steel crank they want to part with?

Great bunch of cars on here but they all seem to fall into 3 categories.

1. Doesn't run, in dire need of restoration not able to actually see the road. Great starters!
2. In the middle of being restored and not able to actually see the road (jealousy creeping in).
3. Finished product without a speck of road dirt and not able to actually see the road except on perfect days to get to a show. Drool factor.

What ever happened to the cars that get driven regularly? One of the reasons I don't show mine often is because I'm always up against restored cars where mine is just a well kept car that is old. Open my hood or look under the car and there is 44 years of road dirt, grease and sprayed oil mixed in with probably a few spots of rust (I just hose it off regularly). Had a color change back in early 90s but other than a motor upgrade, I still drive the car often in horrible weather. All original interior and except for left front fender, all original body parts to the best of my knowledge since I didn't buy it new. Hasn't hit 100,000 miles yet (but unknown miles on replacement engine). All the driving is short range.

My new Project 67 Charger. I just started this one about 3 months ago.Making repairs due to a new windshield installation that the installer used the original gasket. what an idiot! It set in a dodge dealership(in San Antonio) back lot for 6 months filling up with rain water. She's getting lots of TLC now, but alot to do to get it in show shape.51K original miles, box stock 383 4bbl 727 TF. I agree. They were made to be driven (some to be driven hard).

We followed a 70 Challenger R/T to Zepherhills that was doing 5 MPH under the limt the whole way down some pretty nice back country roads. What a waste!! I would have had a hard time keeping it 5-10 over the limit!!

I don't want a car I'm scared to drive.

...and just for the record...you're allowed to take two or three spots at the grocery store, provided you are in the row BEHIND the last row there are other cars parked in, or at least the far end of the row with the least cars.
