From what I can tell they have some really high quality chrome work coming out of thier shop. I just dropped my rear bumper for my 69 Roadrunner off there so we will see. Before putting half down I slipped in the old "Do you have a military discount" phrase, sure enough 20% off. I'll be getting my bumper chromed for $315 :) I'll post picks when I get it back.

I ask every now and then too Eagle, and it's surprising how many places do, or will create one for you if you ask. I know I now go to Lowes a LOT more, even if it's just a spray can, simply because of the 10% discount there. It may not be much, but it sure adds up over the long run.

Yeah, $850/pair is nuts. Up here in IL, I've had quotes as high as $600 for one bumper! They're out of their minds. FYI my guy charges about $350 per bumper and his work is far superior to what I see coming off the trucks at the Nat's.

Good looking out Eagle! When I track down my ride, I'll keep this in mind. 20% is a great discount and more than I usually see. I'm always flattered by any effort, but 20% is just awesome, not to mention free shipping.

What's the name of the shop?

It's called Ogden Chrome, they have a website you can check out. If you Google their name there is one guy that has spent I think the better part of his life trying to bag on the shop. He has posted the same message on virtually every forum that starts talking about Ogden Chrome. I personally had great success with them and think the guys I've talked to at the shop are extremely professional.

So checking this out when I get home. I tracked down my ride, and what do you know, it needs bumpers... lol. Is this the price of a new bumper chromed?

Talked to them yesterday. They are very reasonable and the shipping both ways, even if you don't use them is a hell of a deal. They told me it was $355, but that was using my core. So, if you don't have a bumper it will probably be more--if they can even do it.

FridayGt, what do you need bumpers for?

Need a rear bumper for a '72 Road runner, dented up pretty good over the left tail light when I bought it on Saturday. Apart from that I think I just need to have the front one rechromed and will defenitely be looking at these guys.

When I talked to Ogden Chrome they said the pricing includes any straightening. Basically he told me "as long as it isn't rolled up into a ball there is no extra charge to straighten it out." so you're might still be a good canidate for a rechrome.

If not I can get a hold of a bumper from a '72 Satty so it should be the same and drop it off at Ogden Chrome for you. This hobby is all about people helping people. I have no idea what the salvage yard would charge me for the bumper though.

And it includes straightening? And I DON'T have to include a six pack in the package?! Done. As soon as winter time comes along and my car goes off the street I'm arranging having my bumpers done through them. Far too good to pass up. That and the discount for Veterans is above and beyond, I like to support those who support us.

Thanks for the offer on the help man, I really appreciate it. In all seriousness though, they should give you a discount, you just earned them a front and rear bumper job at minimum from me and who knows how much else from others.

Yeah they should but they are good guys. I'll take some pics of my bumper when I get home so you can see the quality. But like I said as long as your bumper isn't too bad they don't charge extra. Mine was dinged up a little bit and they straightened it right up. Your best bet so find out if there will be any extra charges is to call and maybe send them some pics but I do believe they will give you a no commitment estimate but I can't be too sure about that one.

Yeah, they'll give a no commitment estimate and STILL cover shipping both ways. Totally stand-up.
