GOOD LUCK!!! I have NEVER seen on for sale.

Here is a picture of one on my no radio and heater delete dashboard. The no radio plate extends up over the angled crease in the dash and has a "lip" on the top of it that the heater delete plate sits on top of it.

I had a discussion on the Net with another member of one of these Mopar specific sites about making one of these. I don't remember if it was radio or heater plate he was looking for. I told him that if it were me I would get the plastic checker board peice off of a glove box door. I think the Coronet 440 and/or the 500 has this. It MAY work to cut one of those to work. It would be worth trying anyway.

The dash pad is repoed and the upper door metal panels should not be hard to find.

I believe the color is impregrated in the plastic but it shouldn't be a problem to paint.

That is a rare peice.

I used to watch for that kind of stuff for several years on Ebay and never saw one come up for sale.

i've seen 2 for sale...one was already sold on moparts for 395 and one on ebay a year or so back went for 200...I have a reproduction one i got from some guy in ebay that makes them out of his garage. I have an original radio delete, but would like an original if possible.

Yes, it is a Turquoise/Turquoise car.

I had no idea anyone was making them.

mine is a turquoise/turquosie car as well. It's a we21 economy car. Not a rare hemi like yours, but atleast it was a v8 car. I don't plan on leaving it stock anyways.

Heater delete plates and the radio delete plates are on ebay at times. The original heater delete plates were made from the radio ones....

I don't think that is true. In order to do that you would have to cut the radio plate to fit for the heater control area. Mine has a manufactured finish all the way around it.

Yes, I see SOME radio and heater delete plates for various models on Ebay OCCASSIONALY, but we are speaking specifically 1966-67 here. I have not looked for them for along time, as I have not been looking for ANY parts for sometime. When I was actively looking for a lot of parts I had the heater delete plate in my search criteria just to see what the part was worth and I NEVER found one in 4 years of looking.

Well, you believe what ya want...parts books state the same part number...we got an 8,000 mile original WO Coronet up here, radio delete plate and heater delete plate have the same Chrysler part number on them.

The factory took the radio plates and machined them down to make the heater plates

I know we are talking about 66 & 67, I have both....there is a guy up here in Washington reproducing both.

Well, I will have to see how big a PITA it is to remove and look at it again. Maybe I am wrong but I remember it as appearing all factory. I gues it depends on how good a job the did "machining" them.

I direct you to this new thread on this subject http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?t=2441

From the pictures I don't see HOW you could machine a radio plate to make what is pictured, which has what appears to be a molded lip around the entire rear of the plate.

I am not arguing that both plates may have the same part number (could have been a manufacturing error.) As you can clearly see in my picture of both plates installed, that the lower radio plate comes up over the angled split line in the dash. How could you cut it down to size for the heater control plate and still have the molded rear edges?
