I'm working on a 72 Coronet, and I cannot find an A/C clutch anywhere. Lots of sites list them, and then say they are "out of stock". Any suggestions?

Lots of sites list them, and then say they are "out of stock". Any suggestions? I'm going to assume yours is the dual belt, not the single belt clutch. If so, the original numbers change up to 3502746 coil & 3502812 pulley with hub assy. Check with a Mopar dealer (Dodge or Chrysler that's been in business for 20 years or more) and see if they don't have one. If they do I'm sure they'll be tickled to sell it to you! It used to be you could just place an R in front of the part number to come up with the reman-number. If they don't have it, ask them to put it on their locator and see if anyone has it. Barry vnambee 08-06-2011, 08:22 AM Thank you Barry. This is helpful information. scotts74birds 08-06-2011, 10:18 PM A/c parts are kinda funny. Usually you can find an a/c clutch for $200, but they include a FREE compressor! I hope Barrys tip pans out. Usually it is just the clutch coil that burns out. vnambee 08-09-2011, 07:55 AM I found a great deal from a/cpartsguy.com. | |||
