I am in the process of putting this 68 bee back together and the rear pop out windows were taken out (not by me) and I am reinstalling them. My question is it looks like the main frame for the window had something as far as a sealant of some kind where the frame of the window and body of the car meet. Does anyone know what that is? Or what do I need to use putting this frame back in. I did post this question last week in a different section but no response so thought I would try here. Thanks again for all of your help. Jim If I am not explaining this right I can take some pictures to show what I am talking about

i'm thinking it was just a rubber window seal that was on the window frame for the glass to lock into.

the main frame that attaches to the car is what looks like it has some kind of sealant around it. This is where the frame of the window attaches to the post just behind the door. I will take a picture on Monday to show what I mean. Thanks

i've seen it before
it is sort of like the butyl rope seal they will use on a windshield
when they replace it. i think it comes in a couple of diameters
i would try to match up the size to what you got
and go with that.even if it itsn't exact
it will do the same job as what was there before
and you will never see it when installed anyway.....
