fuel guage qustion

does anyone know what ohms the fuel level sending unit operates on in a 67 belvedere? i am going to hook up my fuel cell sending unit to my guage if it has the corect sending unit.

I believe it is 10-70 Ohms

You can get a sending unit for your cell that has the correct rating. I believe RT is right and it's 10-70 ohms.

havent looked underneath to try and find the origanal fuel guage wire if i cant find it and have to tear into the dash how would i determin wich wire i need for the sending unit?

Trace the line on the printed circuit to where the wiring harness plugs into the gauge cluster.

From Mopar Action years ago (now on allpar.com) "should read 61 to 85 ohms ‘empty’, and 8.6 to 10.6 ohms ‘full’"

Trace the line on the printed circuit to where the wiring harness plugs into the gauge cluster.

Its a dark blue wire its the same as the 68 even though the connection is different:
