Any advantage or disadvantage to a cross flow radiator. Been looking hard at a griffin 2 row with 1.25 inch tubes. Anyone with any experience with one of these?

I talked to a one of their techs at SEMA last year. While crossflows are perfectly fine he seem to indicate that a downflow would be the way to go. I am having them build me a downflow 26 inch rad for my 70 Road Runner. Not sure how they are on the phone but the people at the show semmed very professional and knew their stuff.

I believe you have to run an overflow bottle with the crossflow.

Have one in my Coronet with high compression and a 185 stat and have had no problems on any hot day.

by dual pass do you mean two row? Not familiar with dual pass.

Not familiar with dual pass.The radiator is divided into 2 sections forcing the coolant to move across the radiator twice...ie, the top half flows one way and the bottom half flows the other and the tanks are divided. The biggest drawback to that is your inlet and outlets are usually on the same side....and the cost.
