Found this one for sale, cant seem to get anyone to pick up the phone. I can tell from the picture it's an SE and I'm not really fond of those I think the opera windows, vinyl top, and hood ornament give it a dated look but all that can come off I guess. The description says it has a 383 I was under the impression that 73 SEs came w/ 400 2BBL and a whopping 175 hp, but i suppose anything can be done in 36 years. I also want a manual trans and was looking into Keisler, they make 5 speeds for old muscle cars does anyone know anything about them and how much they would cost?

Welcome. It would probably cost you about $3000 to do a total conversion....pedals, hump, trans, and all the parts. Maybe more. A 400 is a good starting place for just a "magnum" type rebuild, or a 451 stroker. Only way to know what is under the hood for sure is to check it out.

Dig the Keystones. Welcome to the forum and as far as Keisler goes, do a search on the various forums, you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know.

I've had good luck with Keisler 4-spd to 5-spd swap. Also check out American Powertrain at http://www.americanpowertrain.com/ Neither seem to be posting prices on line, you have to request a quote.
