My heatercore cracked and so my carpet is now spoiled with coolant. Anyone has a good trick to remove it?

I bought some used carpet out of a Jeep Cherokee back when I was going thru my divorce, and really broke. $10, but it was covered with moss and dirt. I hung the carpet over a clothes line, used a garden hose to remove as much as I could, then used carpet cleaner on it. Laid it out in the sun and let it dry till the next day.

The carpet was clean, dry, and really looked good. I don't know if you want to go to the trouble of taking it out of your car, but if you do, that should let you get ALL the coolant out, even from the jute padding behind the carpet.

Clean it with carpet cleaner remove the dome light and leave the doors open a couple of days so it can dry. When its dry sprinkle it with baking soda and rub it in and vacum. When you close the car back up sit an open box of baking soda on the front floor for a week or so. Backing soda kills the glycerol Oder and stops it from coming back. Been there done that.
