70's Satellite rear end question

There is a junkyard close to me that has an early 70's satellite, can someone tell me if they all came with an 8 3/4 rear end, what also a small or large bolt pattern on the axles? I dont want to waste my time going out there to find out it is junk. point me in the right direction to get some info, thanks!

early 70's sattelite ? the widths vary,70 and 71-74 are different lengths.What are you putting it in ?? I'm around 2 or 3 hours south of you and have several 66-70 b body 8 3/4's. Even an e-body 8 3/4 :yes:

Last I checked 71-74 B-body is the same as the E-body. Front and rear suspension and drivetrain parts

They aren't the same. For one thing the spring perches are angled differently between the two.
