Non-stroker 400 builds, who's done what?

Tell me about your non-stroker 400 builds, particularly about pistons. I've heard that a very low budget trick is to use the late smog 440 oversize pistons with the 1.912" CH to gain compression. Anyone here done this, and where there any skirt to crank clearance problems?

I never heard of skirt to crank clearance problems in this 440 piston trick. (Doesn't mean it doesn't exisit.) Otherwise, KB has some slugs.
