after replacing 1/4s, trunk floor ext, 1 rocker and both inner fenders , I rebuilt the front and rear suspention,and converted to power disc brake . got it back on its wheels! even got my oldest daughter involved ,she wants to know if she can drive it when she it old enough.for all my pics goto http://www.hubgarage.com/mygarage/generaljmwlee

got the pass fenders all patched and started to paint and undercoat inside,ready to install to start bodywork

looks good! However, do you need a Media Blaster? I know of a good one! Too bad TX and PA are so far apart!

truthfully I am tring to start my own busness doing media blasting and powder coating,had a couple of jobs already,even have a nice size oven, matterof fact all the front suspention parts in the pics are powdercoated even the k-frame

After hours of alignment, got it ! have one problem when I close the hood the drivers rear corner stays up slightly untill you give a little pressure on the corner then it lines up prefect is that a bad hinge?:confused:

did you check the adjustments on the hinge to see if it would drop down ?

hinge is all the way down. even slotted the hige hole alittle more.

Lookin good. I would say that you have a weak hinge on the drivers side. You might try to lube it and see if that helps it pull down. Matt

yes I seam sealed used 3m brush on and a nice heavy coat of undercoating

motor came apart was clean inside going to machine shop monday

got my motor back in short block style mounted heads and used that paint on the surfaces where oil flows

If the hinge isnt bad the spring is. Try swapping the springs from one side to the other and see if the problem moves to the other side. And while the spring is off see if the hinge is free.

well its been a long time since I posted.but great news!!! the bird is in the final stages of body work and is scheduled for the body shop between x-mas and new years. best of all my lovely wife said she was paying for it for my x-mas present. My plans are to hit at least one show this summer!:headbang:

I love that color, it looks like the color I purchased for my 69 RR but I won't be using it because i've since decided to put my car back to it's original T7 bronze. I'll use the burnt orange on one of my other projects, seeing it on your car confirms that it is a winning color for sure. very nice.
