Anyone build Models?

If anyone is interested I have a Model Kit Board Here. (http://modelmasters.proboards3.com/index.cgi)

Heres my latest craze, JUNKERS!! It's more fun then a clean build anyday!! Let me know what you think.

Heres the fence Im building on half the groundwork. I even used my very own last Name on the sign. I made the sign in Photoshop 7.0 in a 600 dpi .jpg format. I then printed it on Kodak high gloss photo paper complete with a bass wood frame.

This sign will be TRASHED when Im done. the fence came out OK I guess, for my first one it was tough, took me 2.5 hours to make 16 inches?

Im going to dirty the fence up and hang junk on it and what not. It will be sweet.

Heres some more shots of the fence work and signage I made.

Above is some good shots of the Beware Of Dog, Entrance and Trespassing signs. I made these in Photoshop 7.0.

Heres the third car in my junkyard.

Its another 67 GTX by Revell.

I dremeled off the front drivers fender and door as well as the trunk (Which will be getting custom made hinges and it will be posed open).

Im really rusting this one out bad!! Its been here forever! LOL!

Its also my first vinyl top attempt too.

What do you think?

This shot is my favorite.

Heres another angle of the GTX which now sports a basswood 2x12 hood prop, neatly splintered too!

This is tough decision making as far as the layout of the cars and parts go. What do you guys think of this layout?

Please note the cars are NOT finished yet.

Believeable?

I am an avid model builder but NEVER got into that kind of detail, a "junker" must take quite a bit more time and effort to create. WOW.

LOL Thanks Guys. It's acually easier to build these because the more you mess up the better it looks, melt some plastic here, dremel there, it's fun as hell and really doesn't take that much time at all. It's much less time consuming then a clean build by far.

Lets see you do a chryslers at carlisle swap meet project. You know, parts on tarps, cars in the car corral......That would be cool. Anyway, awsome stuff. You did a great job on the car to make them look old.

Like everyone else has said ... WOW! The one thing I was looking for but didn't see was a partially pulled backseat with a rats nest under it and a junk yard dog sleeping in one of the cars. ;)

That's pretty cool! I recently dug mine out of storage and sold them on Ebay. The Mopars brought the most money. Someday when I have time I'll build them again!
Nice work!

I've built lots of models.
These two are the ones I'm most proud of however.
1/4 scale, made of clay, then I painted them using automotive paint.

You should add the Tulsa time capsule car in there. Maybe start with a Christine model.

Very kool! nice work guys. I used to be obsessed with building models, probably still would if I had more time. I hardly have time to work on the full size ones lately. I still have all of the Mopars that I built through the `80's in a couple of big boxes. Last time I looked at them the bottoms of the boxes were full of loose parts. LOL
