AdamR 07-17-2008, 02:19 PM Thought I would shre some pictures of my old 74 Charger.
It was a odd one.
400, 4bbl. Single exhuast
727, slap stick shifter
Cruise control, A/C, Power steering and Power disc brakes
It was a plane Charger, Not a Rallye or SE.

69 Runner 07-17-2008, 04:27 PM Big block 4V and single exhaust? It isn't odd. It's a freak:D
rumblefish360 07-17-2008, 09:16 PM LOL, but ripe for mods!!
Revhendo 07-18-2008, 01:22 AM For you 74 Charger fans, take a ride in this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvZJjdyMkR4&NR=1
69 Runner 07-18-2008, 08:51 AM Pretty conservative driving. Off the gas LONG before the brake markers
hemihead 07-18-2008, 08:57 AM Sweet 74 AdamR but it was rather odd .

Yep, pretty conservative. It is just a leisurly ride in a two ton, 32 year old, hemi powered superspeedway car on antiquated Hurst/Airheart disc brakes. And I am sure that it's not the rev limiter your hearing at the top end of the straights. But, you're right, a true professional race driver would rather pick on others techniques instead of enjoying the video for the fun that it is.
Rev.
69 Runner 07-18-2008, 09:29 PM I'm sure those brakes were worlds better than the factory brakes I had to run on my Porsche when I ran Riverside International.
Course...it wasn't Hemi powered or weigh 4000 pounds either.
but it's all relative I guess

Yep, you're a better driver than I. I had a friend let me run his solo II 911, I could never keep the back of that bastard where it belonged. I swear I went thru half the course backwards. Sure was fun.....
Rev
69 Runner 07-18-2008, 10:17 PM Yep. 911's are like that. You lift, you die. And I never said I was a better driver. I was insane. I don't think there was a person alive that would drive into a corner deeper than I would. If you were gonna pass me, it was gonna have to be on a straight. Cause you weren't takin me in a turn. And the more my brakes faded, the faster my laps would be. That's when you have to be good. At the time I had no fear. It was an acceptable level of risk, cause it was what I wanted to do at the time.
Revhendo 07-18-2008, 11:21 PM Isn't funny how we get older and our acceptable level of risk factors get altered?
Rev.
Revhendo 07-18-2008, 11:22 PM Adam, sorry, didn't intend to hihjack this thread. I really dug your old Charger.
AdamR 07-19-2008, 06:12 AM No problem. At least you guys didnt make fun of my Camaro in the back ground.
Revhendo 07-19-2008, 09:12 AM I wasn't going to make fun of the Camaro, I figured you got a free bowl of soup with it and you were down on you luck and hungry.
Rev.
