meep meep horn location for 74 runner

the guy i got the roadrunner from unbolted the purple meep meep horn and since he's done that he cn'r remember where it was bolted onto anybody help with this matter or post some pics i would greatly appreciate it!

Left hand side , If you are facing the car, beside the radiator, on the radiator support.

i thought the 73-74 rr horns were black ?

RAV...Thats the horn that was one mine, only 1 wire coming out of harness,the purple RR Horn. Should be correct unless your date tag says different, what kind of harness for horn is on yours?

yep the horn on mine is purple too.

thanks . i asked this question 8 years ago on moparts and i was told BLACK so i bought a black horn :mad: i guess i need to buy a purple horn now :mad:

I have had 68,69,70,71, and 72 Road Runners, The 68s were the only ones I had that had Black horns.

Saw on one of the mopar forums someone had a nos for sale.

Hey guys, new to this forum so perhaps you can help me. I've got a 73 RR and the horns are missing. When I look at the wiring diagram it shows 2 horns. Thanks to the pics above I can see where they go but the one I ordered (purple) doesn't fit. I have heard about a long bracket and short bracket. It seems to me that I might have the wrong size bracket, does this sound correct? Other question, if there's two horns are they identical? I hear some guys talk about the hi and lo horn, do you need one of each i.e. one hi on one side and one lo on the other? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Love this site!!

Sats had 2 horns, Roadrunners only 1 Meep Meep. It mounts on the passenger side as shown.

I know this is an old post, but I just bought a 73 roadrunner and as far as I know it is all factory and it has two horns. The Meep Meep and a regular on the other side.

how does that work? won't they both sound off when the horn is pushed?

I have 2 73's one has 2 horns and the other only has one. Also i bought one of yearone's purple repros and it sounded like crap thats when i realized i had 2 horns the one on the passengers side is purple and the one on drivers is black. I'm with ron how does this work is the only meep meep horn go on the pass side?

Thank you for uploading the pictures, and especially for the nice job with the screwdriver! I can hardly wait to go home and check it out on my car. This is a perfect little wid-winter project.

my 73 came with a purple one only in the above stated position as seen on the pictures
