well, it finally happened, last time at the track i seemed to have blown my trans .... wonder how that happened !!:tongueflap: so winters here and im starting to wonder, i really wanted a 4 speed B-body. perfect time to swap since 727 is shot, right , but is it worth the $$ ? parts availability ?? just asking for others opnion, maybe from people that have already done this swap ..... thanks ...

Don't ask me, I'm a Die Hard 727 Fan, Much more Consistent,....... but I agree it's the perfect time to swap.

Not sure if it's worth it to you price wise, but all the parts are readily available. Brewer's Performance has every part you'll need and they are very knowledgable. I have bought a number of items from them. http://www.brewersperformance.com/

Ebay is good for findig lots of 4spd parts too.

the 727 was fun, with full manual valve body i keep telling myself " well you still have to shift, so its not really an automatic " ! Plus i went to that brewers performance site and 4K for a conversion doesnt seem to smart right now .... so, lookin for a quality, strong built 727 to get me going again !

I gave a lot of thought to the swap too on my '65 Coronet. Had an A990 torqueflite with late input and 3800 TA convertor, but wanted something more streetable. Ended going to Brewer's and purchasing a stock 1965 BB 727. I think that it will be a lot more fun on the street next year. The 4 speed conversion was way out of my league. I'll keep the "park delete, reverse manual valve body" trans around........just in case.

Yeah, it can add up for sure. I just saw this on eBay and thought you'd like to see it. Not a bad price for everything but the trans and shifter!
